Hello there, Kay here!

Hello to you, now it’s not often I get the time to write a blog post but I just wanted to come on here and share a couple of exciting new things that are happening with IndigoBlu.

You may have seen my Face Book live last weekend from the Happy Stampers Festival at Port Sunlight when I shared an announcement with you that my best friend, Lou Withers, who is a fantastic artist in her own right and has worked behind the scenes with us for many years has now come on board to help me with the Hochanda shows and so between us we will be showcasing lots of great new techniques, hints and tips and of course brand new products from IndigoBlu.
Lou’s first shows were on today, Friday 18th May at 12noon and 4pm. I do hope you got the opportunity to tune in and show her your support. If not you can catch the shows again on Re-Wind for the next two weeks.

I also want to take this opportunity to introduce you to our IndigoBlu TV team.
These are the wonderful people who try out new our products and showcase them with their samples ready for the shows.

I feel so excited that we have a fabulous, varied and very talented team and wanted  you to meet them.
You may well already know some of them and over the last few weeks we have had a few more join the team.

Stamp Focus | Adding Texture to Clean And Simple Card with Anemone And Daisy

Today Ksenija is here and I am sharing a step-by-step tutorial how to easily add texture to a Clean and Simple (CAS) card made with Anemone And Daisy red rubber stamps set.
Anemone and Daisy is a part of the recent floral release by IndigoBlu. This red rubber stamps set contains four floral images that are small enough for making CAS cards.

In this post I will explain and show with pictures how to make a fancy card in four easy steps.

To make this card I chose anemones flowers image and started with stamping it down in watercolour friendly ink down onto a white card stock panel.
I stamped it repeatedly onto a smaller piece of card stock.

I really like the beautiful quote by Victor Hugo from Victorian Garden stamps set and decide to use it for my today's card.

Watercolouring is one of the fastest colouring ways. I loosely coloured the impressions with watercolour markers. The biggest flower stamped onto the small piece of cardstock I coloured more intensively than the rest of the image.
Vintage Frame mask is one of my favourite stencils from IndigoBlu. I used it previously for a Christmas card. I like the feminine touch this stencil adds to cards.

I covered the flower card panel with Vintage Frame, applied texture paste unevenly through it and set aside to air dry.
While the paste was hardening, I fussy cut out the biggest flower from the small piece of cardstock and using embossing pen, bond powder and a heat gun added Unicorn Sparkle.
When the paste air dried, I assembled the card. I adhered the panel onto a black card note with a thin foam tape and popped the glittered flower with a thick foam tape for extra dimension.
Thank you for stopping by and have a great day!

Laugh and Breathe

Hello, It's Kay M and I'm so excited to be able to show a sneaky peak today!

This is an A5 canvas panel, showing the new paints from IndigoBlu that Louise is launching on Hochanda this Friday at 12 and 4pm. Hope you caught the announcement on Facebook Live on Saturday from Port Sunlight! (See the previous post)

I'll talk you through the canvas but you're going to have to tune in to watch Louise to find out all about these fabulous paints and lots of gorgeous floral stamps from IndigoBlu.
Fine paste was used through  Textures stencil and after drying the whole canvas was painted with Frosty Sky matte paint.  White Gee-Sso-Good was sponged through the Cherry Blossom stencil and I used the new paints to finish the background.

The flowers and sprigs from 'Anemone and Daisy' and 'Marigold and Peony' stamp sets were stamped and painted with more of the new paints and then fussy cut.

The sentiment from Live, Laugh, Love was also stamped with the paints and cut out.

All the elements were attached to the canvas with 3D glue as shown.

Don't forget to tune in on Friday to welcome Louise to the IndigoBlu shows. Hochanda at 12 and 4pm.

Take care, Kay M x
